Blinkbit — Software & Arduino for Hobbyists
(Chargeback)

Blinkbit Store — Software & Arduino for Hobbyists
Refund & Exchange Policy
Effective date: 21 September 2026
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This is a courtesy English translation of the Arabic text. If the two differ, the Arabic text prevails.
Introduction
All Blinkbit Store products are digital files delivered as soon as payment is completed, and once obtained they cannot be returned in a way that restores things to how they were. This policy therefore aims to balance two concerns: protecting the Store’s work from abuse, and protecting the Customer from paying for a defective Product or one that differs from its description.
This policy is to be read together with the “Warranty Policy” and “User Rights”, and the three form a single integrated document. The definitions in the Warranty Policy apply to this policy.
Article 1: General Principle
- 1-1 A refund is not accepted after the Product has been downloaded or opened because of a change of mind, no longer needing it, or finding that it does not suit a need that was not stated in the description, unless one of the cases in Article 3 applies.
- 1-2 This principle is consistent with the Kingdom’s E-Commerce Law, which excludes the purchase of software downloaded over the internet from the consumer’s right to cancel the contract, while the right remains if the Product is defective or does not conform to what was agreed. The Store applies the same rule to all its other digital Products because of their nature, taking into account the consumer rights set by law (Article 14).
- 1-3 By completing the purchase, the Customer confirms having reviewed the Product description and whatever preview was available, and the Prerequisites for running it set out in Article 4 of the “Warranty Policy”, and having checked that they are available; that they agree to immediate delivery; and that the Product cannot be refunded after it is downloaded except in accordance with this policy.
Article 2: The Store’s Obligations Before Purchase
For the ban on refunds after download to be fair, the Store commits to the following:
- 2-1 Providing as much preview as reasonably possible, such as the table of contents and sample pages of books, images of schematics, and a video or detailed description of how the project works.
- 2-2 Stating compatibility clearly on the Product Page: the board, microcontroller, frequency, operating system and required software version.
- 2-3 Stating the Prerequisites for running the Product, including electronic components, tools and software, with their values and specifications and a wiring diagram where needed, in accordance with Article 4 of the “Warranty Policy”.
- 2-4 Answering the Customer’s questions before purchase through blinkbit@outlook.com.
- 2-5 Showing this policy, or a link to it, on the Product Page before payment.
Article 3: Cases Entitling the Customer to a Full Refund
The Customer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid in any of the following cases:
- 3-1 The file is corrupted or cannot be downloaded or opened, and this was not resolved with a sound copy.
- 3-2 The Product did not match its description on the Product Page (such as the board, chip, version or book content).
- 3-3 The file did not arrive within 24 hours of payment confirmation, despite the Order details being correct, and the Store was unable to make it available.
- 3-4 The amount was paid twice for the same Order.
- 3-5 The amount was charged without the Order being completed or without download access being granted.
- 3-6 The Defect or Non-conformity could not be remedied by the means set out in Article 8 of the “Warranty Policy”.
- 3-7 Mistaken purchase: if the Customer bought a Product by mistake (such as choosing an unintended Product) and notifies the Store within 24 hours of the Order, and has not downloaded or used the Product, they may have the amount refunded or exchanged for the intended Product.
Article 4: Cases Not Entitled to a Refund
A refund is not due in the following cases:
- 4-1 The Customer changes their mind after downloading the Product.
- 4-2 The Product not suiting a particular purpose of the Customer that was not stated in the Product description.
- 4-3 Problems arising from failing to meet the stated requirements, in accordance with the exclusions in Article 6 of the “Warranty Policy”.
- 4-4 The Customer not having the Prerequisites needed to run the Product, being unable to obtain them, not wishing to buy them, or not installing and connecting them as set out on the Product Page, where they are stated there in accordance with Article 4 of the “Warranty Policy”, because checking their availability is the Customer’s responsibility before purchase. The exception is where the Store omitted to state a necessary Prerequisite or stated it incompletely or inaccurately, in which case this is treated as a Non-conformity with the description under clause 3-2.
- 4-5 The Customer declining to cooperate in diagnosing the problem after reasonable information has been requested from them.
- 4-6 The warranty period (7 days) passing without the Store being notified, while the Customer’s legal rights remain.
- 4-7 Products the Customer has modified or incorporated into other projects.
- 4-8 Free Products, as there is no payment involved.
- 4-9 If it is shown that the Customer handed the Product to others or published it and then requested a refund.
Article 5: Exchange
- 5-1 An exchange is offered in the following two cases:
- (a) Replacing the defective Product with a sound copy.
- (b) Replacing the Product with another Product, in the case of mistaken purchase set out in clause 3-7.
- 5-2 If the replacement Product has a different price, the Customer pays the difference if the replacement costs more, and is refunded the difference if it costs less.
- 5-3 The Store may, as an exception and at its discretion, accept exchanging a downloaded Product for another Product where there is no Defect. This is not an obligation and not a precedent that can be relied on.
Article 6: Partial Refund
- 6-1 If the Defect is in a separate part of the Product and does not prevent use of the rest, the Store may correct the defective part, or refund an appropriate amount agreed by both parties.
- 6-2 The Customer may refuse the partial solution and ask for a full refund if the Defect undermines the Product’s core stated purpose.
Article 7: Procedure for Requesting a Refund or Exchange
- 7-1 The request is submitted within 7 days of delivery of the Product through blinkbit@outlook.com, except for the cases in 3-3, 3-4 and 3-5, which may be submitted whenever they are discovered.
- 7-2 The request includes the order number, the email address used at purchase, the reason, and whatever is needed to prove it, such as screenshots or error messages.
- 7-3 The Store replies within 3 business days of receiving a complete request. A rejection is given in writing with reasons, and states what the Customer can do next.
- 7-4 Before refunding for a Defect or Non-conformity, the Store is given a reasonable opportunity to address the problem by the means in Article 8 of the “Warranty Policy”, provided that opportunity is not used as a means of delay.
Article 8: Refund Method and Timing
- 8-1 The amount is refunded to the original payment method through the Payment Platform.
- 8-2 The refunded amount is the full amount the Customer paid for the Product, including tax if any.
- 8-3 Processing begins within 7 business days of the request being accepted. The amount may take longer to appear in the Customer’s account depending on the bank’s or card issuer’s procedures, and the Store is not responsible for delays by banking institutions.
- 8-4 The Store charges no fee for processing a refund.
- 8-5 The processing of payments and refunds is also subject to the Payment Platform’s terms.
Article 9: Effect of a Refund
- 9-1 Once a refund is accepted, the Product license ends, and the Customer must stop using it and delete any copies of the files they hold.
- 9-2 In case of an exchange, the license transfers to the replacement Product on the same terms.
Article 10: Free Products
- 10-1 Free Products, including books made available under the license of their official sources, are provided as they are, and are not refundable as there is no payment.
- 10-2 The Store commits to the soundness of the file and the correct attribution to its source, and the Customer may report any damaged file so it can be replaced with a sound copy.
Article 11: Custom Designs and Services
This Article applies if the Store provides a design or implementation service made to the Customer’s request:
- 11-1 Before work starts: the Customer may cancel the Order and receive a full refund.
- 11-2 After work starts and before delivery: the amount is refunded in proportion to the work not completed, after deducting the value of what has actually been done.
- 11-3 After delivery: there is no refund except for failure to meet the specifications agreed in writing, and after the rounds of revision have been used up.
- 11-4 The Order includes two (2) rounds of revision within the scope of the agreed specifications, and anything beyond that or outside the scope is priced by agreement.
- 11-5 Because this work is carried out specifically to the Customer’s specifications, it is among the items that are not returnable merely because of a change of mind after work has started.
Article 12: Bank Disputes (Chargebacks)
- 12-1 The Store prefers that the Customer contact it before raising a dispute with the bank or card issuer, as that is usually quicker and easier.
- 12-2 This does not prevent the Customer from raising the dispute whenever they wish, and the Store may submit the evidence it has, such as the Order record and proof of delivery.
Article 13: Contact and Complaints
- 13-1 If the Store rejects the Customer’s request, the Customer may ask for reconsideration within 7 days of the reply, with whatever supports their request.
- 13-2 A resubmitted complaint is reviewed within 5 business days, and the Customer is notified of the result in writing.
Article 14: No Prejudice to Legal Rights
- 14-1 This policy does not reduce any right the Customer has under the E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations or any other laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If the law gives the Customer a wider right in a particular case than what is stated here, that right applies.
Article 15: Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- 15-1 This policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- 15-2 The parties first seek to settle any dispute amicably within 15 days.
- 15-3 This does not prevent the Customer from approaching the competent authorities, including the Ministry of Commerce and the courts.
- 15-4 If this policy is translated, the Arabic text prevails in case of any difference.
Article 16: Amendment of the Policy
- 16-1 The Store may amend this policy, and the amendment applies to Orders placed after it is published.
- 16-2 Earlier Orders remain subject to the version in force at the time of purchase, unless the amendment is more favorable to the Customer.
Article 17: Contact
