Blinkbit Store — Software & Arduino for Hobbyists
Warranty Policy
Effective date: 21 September 2026
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This is a courtesy English translation of the Arabic text. If the two differ, the Arabic text prevails.
Introduction
Blinkbit Store offers digital products only: files delivered electronically as soon as payment is completed. Because these products differ in nature from physical goods, this policy sets out clearly what the Store guarantees to the Customer, what the warranty does not cover, and how to make a claim, in a way that is fair to both parties and protects their rights.
This document, together with the “Refund & Exchange Policy” and “User Rights”, forms a single integrated document, and its articles are to be read in light of one another.
Article 1: Definitions
- 1-1 “the Store”: the Blinkbit online store and its owner.
- 1-2 “the Customer”: anyone who buys a Product through the Store or obtains one from it.
- 1-3 “the Product”: any digital file offered by the Store, including:
- (a) Compiled program files ready to upload to boards (HEX or BIN) and executable programs.
- (b) Electronic circuit schematics.
- (c) Printed circuit board (PCB) design files.
- (d) Books and documents.
- 1-4 “Product Page”: the page that contains the Product’s description, specifications, operating requirements and price.
- 1-5 “Order”: a purchase completed through the Payment Platform.
- 1-6 “Payment Platform”: the party that processes payments on the Store’s behalf.
- 1-7 “Defect”: a fault in the Product that prevents it from performing its stated core function, or makes it impossible to download or open, despite following the instructions.
- 1-8 “Non-conformity”: a material difference between the delivered Product and the description and specifications on the Product Page.
- 1-9 “Prerequisites”: everything the Customer must provide to run the Product, such as boards, microcontrollers and electronic components (for example buttons, LEDs, resistors, displays and sensors), power supplies, tools and software, as set out on the Product Page (Article 4).
Article 2: Nature and Scope of the Warranty
- 2-1 The Store undertakes that every Product will be:
- (a) Sound, complete, and able to be downloaded and opened.
- (b) Consistent with the description, specifications, compatibility and requirements stated on the Product Page.
- (c) Free of material Defects that prevent it from performing its stated core function when used according to the instructions.
- 2-2 This is a warranty of “conformity and soundness”. It is not a warranty of “results” and not a warranty of “fitness for a particular purpose”. The Store guarantees that the Product works as described in the stated usage environment, but does not guarantee that it will achieve a specific aim the Customer has in mind that is not mentioned in the description.
- 2-3 The Product Page is an integral part of the warranty. The board, chip, frequency, software version or operating requirements stated there are the basis against which conformity is measured.
- 2-4 The Store commits to accuracy and honesty in describing its Products, and the description must not mislead the Customer about characteristics that are not met.
Article 3: Warranty Content by Product Type
- 3-1 Ready-to-upload program files (HEX / BIN) and executable programs:
- (a) The Store guarantees that the file uploads successfully and runs on the board, chip and frequency stated on the Product Page, provided the Prerequisites described in Article 4 are in place and the stated upload steps are followed.
- (b) It guarantees that the program’s behavior matches the functions stated in the description.
- (c) For executable programs, it guarantees that the file runs on the operating system and version stated on the Product Page and is free of any malicious software known to the Store. The Store takes reasonable care in scanning files before publishing them.
- (d) Some security software or operating systems may show a warning on executable files that are not digitally signed, and such a warning is often a false alarm. This is not a Defect in itself, but the Store flags it on the Product Page and helps the Customer verify the file.
- 3-2 Electronic circuits and schematics:
- (a) The Store guarantees that the files are complete and can be opened with the stated software and version, and that the schematic matches the description and the component list shown, if any.
- (b) It does not guarantee that the circuit is suitable for a particular purpose, or for operating conditions not mentioned in the description (such as voltage, current, temperature or electrical noise).
- 3-3 Printed circuit board (PCB) designs:
- (a) The Store guarantees that the design files (schematic, board layout and Gerber files, if any) are complete and can be opened, and that the design matches the stated schematic.
- (b) The Store takes reasonable care in reviewing the design before publishing it, such as checking design rules (DRC) and net matching.
- (c) The Store does not guarantee manufacturing results at any fabrication house, the quality of soldering and assembly, or any particular manufacturer’s acceptance of the files. The Customer should order a small trial batch before mass production.
- 3-4 Books and documents:
- (a) The Store guarantees that the file is sound, readable, and consistent with the title, table of contents and content shown on the Product Page.
- (b) It does not guarantee that the book will lead to any particular level of understanding or any professional results for the reader.
- (c) Free books are provided as they are, under the terms of their sources, and the Store’s commitment is limited to the soundness of the file and the correct attribution to its source.
Article 4: Prerequisites for Operation and Responsibility for Preparation
- 4-1 Operating some Products requires preparation by the Customer in advance, namely providing the Prerequisites set out on the Product Page and installing and connecting them according to the schematic and instructions given there. An example is Arduino projects that need buttons, LEDs, resistors, displays, sensors and the like.
- 4-2 The Store’s commitment: on the page of each Product that requires advance preparation, the Store sets out, as far as the nature of the Product requires:
- (a) The list of required components, with their values and specifications.
- (b) The wiring or assembly diagram.
- (c) The tools or software needed. The Store also lets the Customer ask about them before purchase.
- 4-3 The Customer’s responsibility: before buying, the Customer must review the stated Prerequisites and confirm they are able to obtain and install them, and should only buy once satisfied that everything needed to run the Product is available. By completing the purchase, the Customer confirms having reviewed them and checked that they are available.
- 4-4 Providing the Prerequisites is at the Customer’s expense and responsibility. The Product price does not include any physical components or tools, as the Store sells digital files only, unless the Product Page expressly states otherwise.
- 4-5 Effect of missing Prerequisites: the Customer not having the Prerequisites, being unable to obtain them, not wishing to buy them, or not installing and connecting them as set out on the Product Page is not a Defect and not a Non-conformity. It does not give rise to a warranty claim, exchange or refund after the Product has been downloaded, in accordance with the “Refund & Exchange Policy”.
- 4-6 Alternative Prerequisites: the Customer may use components that are alternative to or different from those in the description at their own responsibility. The Store does not guarantee that the Product will work with them unless their compatibility is stated on the Product Page. The Store will answer the Customer’s question about this before purchase as far as it can.
- 4-7 Omission: the Customer keeps the right to the warranty and a refund if the Store omits to state a Prerequisite needed to run the Product, or states it incompletely or inaccurately, so that the Product cannot be run with the Prerequisites listed in its description. This is treated as a Non-conformity with the description.
Article 5: Warranty Period
- 5-1 The warranty period is 7 days, starting from the date the Product is delivered, that is, from the time the download becomes available to the Customer.
- 5-2 The Customer must notify the Store of the Defect or Non-conformity within the warranty period.
- 5-3 The Customer receives, free of charge, any corrected version the Store issues for a Defect in the version they bought, and is notified of it where possible through the contact details registered with the Store.
- 5-4 The expiry of the warranty period does not waive any right the Customer has under applicable laws.
Article 6: What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover the following, unless the cause is a Defect in the Product itself:
- 6-1 Using the Product on a board, microcontroller, frequency, operating system or software version other than those stated on the Product Page, including compatible or clone boards that differ from the stated board in the microcontroller, the bootloader or the oscillator frequency.
- 6-2 Faults arising from incorrect wiring, supplying voltage or current that does not meet the specifications, using defective components or components that differ from the stated component list, or soldering and assembly errors.
- 6-3 Modification of the file or design by the Customer or any third party, or incorporating it into another project.
- 6-4 Faults caused by the upload tools, port drivers and systems the Customer uses, such as tools for uploading files to Arduino (for example XLoader), as these are products of other parties. The Store will do its best to guide the Customer to the correct settings.
- 6-5 The inability of an older version of a program to open the files, where the required version is stated on the Product Page.
- 6-6 Warnings issued by security software or the operating system on executable files that are not digitally signed, where the Store has flagged them on the Product Page.
- 6-7 Use in applications the Product is not intended for, including the critical systems described in Article 9.
- 6-8 Misuse, negligence, or failure to follow the Product’s instructions and warnings.
- 6-9 The Customer not having the Prerequisites needed to run the Product, or not installing or connecting them as stated on the Product Page, as set out in Article 4.
Article 7: Warranty Claim Procedure
- 7-1 The Customer submits their claim within the warranty period through blinkbit@outlook.com.
- 7-2 The claim should include:
- (a) The order number and the email address used at purchase.
- (b) A clear description of the problem and the steps that lead to it.
- (c) The type of board or operating system used.
- (d) The version of the upload tool or software used.
- (e) Screenshots or error messages, if any.
- 7-3 The Store may reasonably ask for further clarification when needed, and a request for information must not be used as a pretext for delay.
- 7-4 The Store replies to a complete claim within 3 business days of receiving it.
Article 8: Remedies
When a Defect or Non-conformity is established, the Store addresses it by one of the following means, as suits the case:
- 8-1 Technical guidance to correct the upload or settings, if the cause of the problem can be corrected that way.
- 8-2 Providing a sound or corrected copy of the Product at no charge.
- 8-3 Replacing the Product with a similar Product, if correction is not possible and the Customer agrees.
- 8-4 Refunding the amount paid in full, in accordance with the “Refund & Exchange Policy”.
- 8-5 The Customer is not obliged to accept a remedy that does not achieve the aim stated on the Product Page; if correction is not possible, they are entitled to a refund.
Article 9: Warnings, Safety and Intended Use
- 9-1 The Products are intended for education, hobby use, prototyping and personal use.
- 9-2 Unless the Product Page expressly states otherwise, the Products are not suitable for use in:
- (a) Medical devices and life-support systems.
- (b) Safety-critical systems.
- (c) Vehicles.
- (d) High-voltage or mains electricity control.
- (e) Any environment where a device failure could result in harm to life or property.
- 9-3 The Customer is responsible for taking safety precautions when working with electrical circuits, batteries and soldering, and for testing their project under safe conditions before relying on it.
- 9-4 The Customer must review PCB designs and make sure they suit their needs before sending them for manufacturing.
Article 10: Limitation of Liability
- 10-1 The Store’s liability for any claim relating to a particular Product shall not exceed the amount the Customer paid for that Product.
- 10-2 The Store is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as loss of profits or opportunities, damage to the Customer’s other devices and components, or board manufacturing costs.
- 10-3 The limits in this Article do not apply in cases of fraud, deceit, gross error or intentional misconduct, or to anything the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Article 11: No Prejudice to Legal Rights
- 11-1 This policy does not reduce any right the Customer has under the E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations or any other laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in case of conflict the laws prevail.
Article 12: Amendment of the Policy
- 12-1 The Store may amend this policy, and the amendment applies to Orders placed after it is published.
- 12-2 Earlier Orders remain subject to the version in force at the time of purchase, unless the amendment is more favorable to the Customer.
Article 13: Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- 13-1 This policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- 13-2 The parties first seek to settle any dispute amicably through direct communication within 15 days of notice of the dispute.
- 13-3 This does not prevent the Customer from approaching the competent authorities, including the Ministry of Commerce and the courts.
- 13-4 If this policy is translated, the Arabic text prevails in case of any difference.
